Support for Youth

With over a decade of experience, I have supported children, adolescents, and young adults across a range of settings, including Australia’s largest youth mental health organisation, headspace. I have extensive experience in conducting neurodevelopmental assessments, risk assessment and safety planning, trauma-focused therapy, and leading DBT groups for young people with complex needs. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and responsive to the unique challenges young people face, creating a supportive environment where they can feel understood, build skills, and move forward with greater confidence and self-awareness.

I draw from evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal theory, and creative/play-based methods, adapting each session to meet young people exactly where they are.

Services

  • EMDR Therapy for Children and Teens: A Powerful Tool for Healing

For children and teens who have experienced trauma — EMDR is a gentle yet powerful therapy that supports healing without requiring them to talk in detail about what happened. Instead, EMDR helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck.

    Assessments & Support for Neurodiversity

Understanding how your brain works can be a powerful step toward self-awareness, self-acceptance, and building the right supports. I offer neuroaffirming assessments and therapy for children and adolescents seeking greater clarity around neurodiversity.

    Eating Disorders

In my practice, I offer trauma-informed therapy for young people experiencing eating disorders and body image concerns, helping them heal the deeper emotional wounds driving disordered eating behaviours.
