Support for Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity refers to the natural differences in how people’s brains think, learn, and experience the world. This includes conditions like autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. A neuroaffirming approach recognises these differences as part of human diversity—not problems to be fixed—and focuses on supporting each child’s unique strengths, needs, and identity in safe, respectful, and empowering ways.
Services
Assessments and Reports
I provide comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments to support neurodiverse individuals across the lifespan. These assessments help guide therapy, school supports, and NDIS pathways, and are designed to complement multidisciplinary input. I also offer individual learning plans tailored for schools to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations. The process is collaborative, respectful, and aimed at fostering deeper understanding and effective support.
Individual Therapy
Therapy for neurodiverse clients integrates Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) to build practical life skills, including self-care routines, emotional regulation strategies, understanding their unique nervous system, executive functioning support, and social skills training. The focus is on increasing self-awareness, confidence, and real-world coping skills through tailored, strengths-based approaches.
Trauma Treatment
Neurodiverse individuals are more vulnerable to trauma due to factors like exclusion, sensory overwhelm, and unmet emotional needs — which can impact emotional regulation, self-esteem, and a sense of safety. Trauma therapy is adapted to be neuroaffirming, fully respecting sensory sensitivities, communication differences, and regulation needs. This includes pacing sessions to prevent overwhelm, fostering trust and safety, and using methods like EMDR with modified bilateral stimulation (e.g. tactile or auditory). The goal is to empower neurodiverse young people with strategies, self-understanding, and support to navigate life’s challenges — always grounded in their unique strengths, values, and neurotype.

I offer psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments that help guide therapy, inform school supports, and contribute to NDIS applications or broader care planning. I do not provide formal cognitive testing (e.g. WISC, WAIS) or conduct formal Autism diagnostic assessments such as the ADOS. If these are required, I may recommend referral to a specialist provider to ensure you receive the most appropriate and comprehensive support.
